An easy way to give online
The top competitor for our devotion to Jesus is money (Matthew 6:24). Giving allows us to demonstrate that He is more important to us than material things. Christians should be the most generous people (2 Corinthians 9:6) on Earth, supporting worthy causes. There is no organization with more potential to change the world than the local church (Ephesians 3:10)!
The Bible teaches, “The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives.” (Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB). Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.
The baseline standard for giving in scripture is “the tithe”, which is derived from the Hebrew word ma’aser and it literally means “a tenth”. Ten percent of everything belongs to the Lord. in your lives.” (Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB). Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.
When we give the first 10% of our income to the church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others.
